Know. Care. Act.
When conceptualizing a project, we ask our clients what they want the viewer to know, feel, and do. Then we find the story that serves as the vehicle for these goals - and it must be a story grounded in truth and humanity. Facts merely inform, but stories inspire.
Practice: Change.
The Africa Yoga Project Story
Practice: Change is the story of how one woman's idea to bring yoga to some of the biggest slums in the world caught on like wildfire and is transforming lives, communities, and possibly countries. Paige Elenson founded the the Africa Yoga Project in 2007 and met a young, traumatized girl named Margaret Njeri, who hails from the slums. Through yoga, Margaret found her way out of a life of abuse, poverty and crime and now supports herself and her family as a yoga teacher - and is a powerful community leader. Kenyan yoga teachers now teach more than 4,000 people each week in the slums and beyond in Kenya through the Africa Yoga Project.
This film won the 2012 New England Emmy Award for Outstanding Documentary, among other awards.
